How Do I Schedule a Session & What Does it Cost?
The first time we meet, we’ll talk a bit about your health concerns and you’ll have a comprehensive session. This takes 75 minutes and costs $100. A single follow up session is 60 minutes and costs $75.
If you’re enrolled in a Stress Resilience coaching program, Reiki sessions may be included.
How Many Sessions Do I Need?
There is never any obligation to continue after your first session, if you are curious and just want to try it. You’ll have an experience and some idea of whether you’d like to continue. Of course, I’ll answer any questions and address any concerns you might have. Depending on the nature of your issue and your mind-body system’s response to the session, I may encourage daily, weekly bi-weekly, or monthly sessions. We’ll re-assess as time passes.
Where Do We Meet?
I am see clients in either my Waltham office or at the Watertown Center for Healing Arts in Watertown Square. (Please note both locations have a flight of stairs and are not elevator accessible.) We may also agree to meet at your home or work. I work with clients in Belmont, Boston, Lexington, Lincoln, Newton, Wayland, Waltham, Weston, Wellesley, & Watertown Massachusetts.
I do not offer these sessions virtually, as I do with Mind-Body Wellness Coaching.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a hands-on stress-reduction technique that creates space for your mind-body system to physically, mentally, emotionally, & spiritually heal. Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Usui Reiki technique, opened his first clinic in Tokyo in 1922.
“Just for today, do not worry.” –Dr. Mikao Usui
What can you expect?
You’ll lie comfortably on a massage table or sit in a chair (fully clothed), while gentle music plays in the background. If you are not sensitive to them, diffused essential oils may be used to create a relaxing, spa-like environment where you can really unwind and let go of all your worldly concerns.
During the session, the Reiki practitioner will lightly place or hover their hands in various positions around your head and neck, chest, ribs and abdomen, ankles and feet.
Because everyone has unique challenges, lives, bodies and minds, each person experiences Reiki differently. Here are examples of things you might notice during your session:
- The practitioner’s hands get hot or cool
- You feel areas of hot, cool, tingling, or movement in places on or within your body.
- Seeing colors or shapes behind your closed eyes
- Connecting to emotions like sadness or anger—some people cry.
- You’re so relaxed that after a few moments you drift to sleep.
The effects of a session may last beyond the session itself. Afterwards, clients have reported:
- Feeling more centered and grounded
- Seeing colors more vibrantly
- Having more energy
- Easier and deeper breathing
- Experiencing less pain from chronic health issues
- Feeling more open and aware
- Faster healing from acute injuries
- Sleeping more soundly
Who is Reiki good for?
- Anyone feeling overwhelmed with day-to-day life
- Caretakers of others, either professionally or personally (e.g. children, elderly parents, those with chronic conditions, etc.)
- Individuals with chronic stress, illnesses or pain; trouble sleeping or resting / relaxing
- Anyone looking to make a lasting lifestyle changes (i.e. letting go of a habit and/or reinforcing a new one, such as eating healthier)
- Individuals scheduled for a medical procedure, before and after (to help prepare mentally and physically, to handle the actual event, and to recover effectively).
What Are Your Qualifications?
Reiki certifications are often not given out in classes, but in 1-1 study with a Reiki Master Teacher, who has also completed his/her certification with their teacher. In other words, Reiki is passed on via a specific lineage. My training is in the USUI System of Reiki Healing.
One has to study, practice on oneself and others, and move through multiple levels, including levels I, II, Advanced/Master. To teach others Reiki, one must be a Reiki Master.
I am a Reiki Master as of 2013 and to date, have taught several other practitioners Level I and Level II. If you are interested in learning how to do Reiki for yourself and others, please do contact me.
What People Are Saying
Kali has the right stuff; a healer with incredible talent. My main complaints were wrist and side-torso pain, as well as feeling out of sorts. From the moment Kali began her Reiki treatment, the warmth generated by her presence soothingly calmed me to the point I fell into a deep, restful state. At the end… of the treatment I felt completely relaxed and re-energized. Over the next couple of days not only did I feel great, the wrist and side pain, which had plagued me for a number of days, completely disappeared. Kali has an uncanny ability to lock-in and deliver exactly what’s needed, a gift that comes highly recommended! Read more “Robert G.”
I just wanted to thank you for the Reiki session–I found it to be very relaxing. When I left your studio I felt everything was brighter — colors more vivid. As the week had gone on I felt different things: one day my breathing seemed better, and I did seem more relaxed and I had… more energy. It was a great experience thank you! Read more “Connie C.”

Kali is such a wealth of knowledge and is so passionate about everything she does. I have done a few of her workshops and I love her yoga style! I tried Reiki for the first time with her and it was very moving and a great experience. I can’t recommend her enough!
On my first session, I felt intense heat burst out of my chest area (heart chakra). I was skeptical of this practice at first, but no more. I have been so impressed with what I’ve felt both physically and emotionally, that I decided to learn this practice for myself. All I can say is wow!… What a difference this has made in my life. I highly recommend Kali as both a Reiki practitioner and as a teacher. I fully plan on using my new skills to work with animals, and I can’t wait to continue my training with Kali, all the way up to Reiki Master! Read more “Heather C.”
