After my boyfriend settles down a bit from a run, he’s hungry. Yet, he often has to go back to work. Since he enjoys smoothies, I put together this simple recipe, which can be made ahead of time and shaken-up a bit when it’s time to drink.
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (I use Blue Diamond brand)
- 1 scoop of Vega Protein Smoothie Mix (I like the “Choc-A-Lot” flavor)
- 1/2 banana
- 2 Tbsp almond butter
- 1/2 one real vanilla bean
- 1 glassful of ice cubes
- Toss in the Vitamix, blend, and drink slowly!
