I found myself craving a cantaloupe a few weeks ago at the grocery store, but then didn’t feel like eating it plain. When I was a kid, my grandma used to put a scoop of ice cream on it, but I don’t do dairy anymore, so I came up with this instead. It was quite tasty. You could substitute coconut water for the maple water if you like–I’ve used both, and they’re both very pretty good.
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1/3 cup aloe juice
- 1 cup raw cantaloupe
- 1/2 banana
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- a few sprigs of fresh mint
- ice (optional)
Blend together in a Vitamix or other blender and enjoy! The amount of ice you use will help determine your desired level of thickness.
